Introdução: Este artigo apresenta parte das discussões desenvolvidas pela autora em sua Tese de Doutorado, que se deteve a pensar a implantação, o desenvolvimento e a avaliação do projeto de ensino, pesquisa e extensão
universitária TOCCA – Terapia Ocupacional, Corpo, Cultura e as Artes, do Curso de Terapia Ocupacional da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Objetivos: Busca apresentar parte das problemáticas, reflexões e potencialidades vividas pela docente e pelos estudantes de graduação em terapia ocupacional, no período de 2010-2014 (estagiários, voluntários e bolsistas), na construção do TOCCA. Para tanto, mostra a cartografia inicial desenvolvida nos primeiros contatos com a cidade e seu modo de fazer a assistência social à população em vulnerabilidade e/ou isolamento social, e as primeiras ações do projeto. Métodos: Utilizou-se a cartografia como procedimento metodológico para o desenho e a análise das linhas de forças que atravessam e produzem a composição do território existencial do que se nomeou TOCCA. Na construção da cartografia, trabalhou-se com narrativas que misturavam fragmentos de diferentes histórias e incluíam elementos fabulados para criar a cena conceitual necessária para a expressão do campo problemático e suas complexidades. Resultados/Discussão e Conclusões: Observam-se os pontos de potência e de fragilidade do projeto em diálogo com a compreensão do campo em que está inserido e das suas problemáticas imanentes.
