A PARTICIPAÇÃO DO TERAPEUTA OCUPACIONAL NA REFORMA PSIQUIÁTRICA E NOS NOVOS SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE MENTAL
Abstract
A Reforma Psiquiátrica, discutida no Brasil desde os anos 80, envolveu trabalhadores de saúde mental, usuários e familiares que almejavam uma prática menos estigmatizante e voltada para a reinserção social. Abrange questões relacionadas à desinstitucionalização e aos desdobramentos advindos. Foram propostas reformulações nos serviços existentes e a criação de novos equipamentos. Inicialmente a Portaria 224/92 estabeleceu o atendimento em Unidades Básicas de Saúde, Centros de Saúde, Ambulatórios, Centros de Atenção Psicossocial e em Enfermarias Psiquiátricas nos Hospitais Gerais. No ano de 2000 as portarias 106 e 1.220, instituiram as Residências Terapêuticas e os Centros de Convivência. Neste contexto, objetiva-se neste trabalho apresentar a reforma psiquiátrica, sob o olhar dos terapeutas ocupacionais, e investigar o que as publicações deles revelam sobre a prática nos novos serviços. A metodologia utilizada foi revisão de literatura especializada da área de Terapia Ocupacional, com consultas à base de dados LILACS, segundo os critérios: artigos científicos publicados em periódicos nacionais de 1997 a 2007, teses, dissertações e capítulos de livros escritos por terapeutas ocupacionais e livros clássicos especializados. Os trabalhos encontrados abordam a importância da reforma psiquiátrica e descrevem os conceitos de redes sociais de apoio, vida cotidiana, acesso ao trabalho e aos direitos, autonomia e dignidade.
