O TERAPEUTA OCUPACIONAL COMO FACILITADOR DO PROCESSO EDUCACIONAL DE CRIANÇAS COM DIFICULDADES DE APRENDIZAGEM
Abstract
O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar através de revisão bibliográfica a
importância da intervenção da Terapia Ocupacional no contexto escolar de
crianças com distúrbios ou transtornos de aprendizagem. Mostrar como o
terapeuta ocupacional pode intervir atuando como facilitador para que haja maior
interação entre esse aluno, seus educadores e familiares realçando o bem-estar
emocional da criança. Primeiramente são referenciados o contexto escolar e a
criança com dificuldade de aprendizagem pautado nos recentes conceitos que o
definem. A seguir é fundamentada a abordagem terapêutica ocupacional no
contexto escolar norteada pelo conceito de papel ocupacional da criança em
fase escolar e propondo a Medida de Performance Ocupacional Canadense como
sustentação para a intervenção propriamente dita. Verifica-se a importância de
educadores, pais/responsáveis e o aluno serem agentes desta proposta, estando
comprometidos e responsabilizados para que esse processo educacional se
desenvolva a contento.
