Prática de estágio em terapia ocupacional na comunidade/Occupational therapy internship in the community

Introdução: A organização da Atenção Primária em Saúde, por meio das estratégias de saúde da família, preconiza o cuidado integral e contínuo aos sujeitos residentes na área de abrangência de seu território. Objetivo: Refletir acerca da prática terapêutica ocupacional junto a uma Estratégia da Saúde da Família (ESF), tendo como objetivo dar maior visibilidade e expansão para a inserção da profissão nesta área, e discutir os desafios e potencialidades do campo. Método: Relato de experiência referente a vivências profissionais e acadêmicas, que descreve ações de ensino e serviço. As atividades práticas foram desenvolvidas em parceria com uma ESF, de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul. O grupo, formado por dez estagiárias, realizava as intervenções domiciliares, acompanhado pelas supervisoras. Foram assistidos 27 casos, sendo que cada indivíduo recebia o atendimento de terapia ocupacional uma vez por semana, no tempo de uma hora. Resultados: Conhecer, de fato, a realidade do sujeito, seu contexto social, seu cotidiano, seu modo organizacional, foi instigante, pois permitiu uma série de intervenções que não seriam adequadas em um ambiente clínico. Ademais, o atendimento domiciliar propiciou uma relação mais estreita dos profissionais de saúde com o paciente e seus familiares. Conclusão: Foram erros, acertos, obstáculos e aprendizados, um processo de amadurecimento e de vivências com sujeitos singulares, patologias diversas, adoecimento e cuidado, que resultaram em um momento único e que possibilitaram sugerir ‒ pelo quão importante é, tanto para as estagiárias, quanto para a sociedade ‒ que haja esse elo entre academia e unidades de saúde, buscando a qualificação dos serviços.
