O CONTEXTO MULTIDISCIPLINAR DA PRÁTICA DA TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL FRENTE AO PARADIGMA DA INCLUSÃO
Abstract
Frente à filosofia de inclusão escolar, a atuação do terapeuta ocupacional pode ser dirigida para a escola, os professores e aos alunos. No entanto, o embasamento teórico para uma prática que realmente promova a equiparação de oportunidades na escola deve ser direcionado no sentido de rever quem são esses alunos com necessidades especiais inseridos no ensino comum e quais são as barreiras físicas e atitudinais presentes no contexto da escola para guiar as possíveis ações do terapeuta ocupacional. O objetivo do presente trabalho é apresentar algumas possibilidades de atuação dos profissionais da terapia ocupacional para favorecer o processo de inclusão escolar e refletir sobre o papel desta profissão na escola. De forma a exemplificar essa atuação moldada nos referenciais teóricos aqui discutidos, são apresentadas algumas reflexões sobre as ações ocorridas no âmbito de dois projetos de extensão desenvolvidos no período 2001-2005, durante uma experiência de intervenção junto à rede municipal de educação de uma cidade de porte médio, no interior de São Paulo. Os dados são analisados a partir dos registros escritos em diários de campo das visitas dos estudantes de Terapia Ocupacional à escola e permitem concluir que o trabalho de parceria colaborativa do terapeuta ocupacional em escolas é parte importante do suporte oferecido aos professores, no contexto da inclusão escolar.
