Prevalência e fatores ocupacionais associados à obesidade em trabalhadores do transporte coletivo urbano: revisão sistemática da literatura/Prevalence and occupational factors associated with obesity in urban public transportation workers: a systematic review

Introdução: Os trabalhadores do transporte coletivo urbano constituem uma categoria profissional importante nas sociedades urbanizadas. Entretanto, estão expostos a condições de trabalho que favorecem o desenvolvimento de doenças, destacando a obesidade. Objetivo: Objetivou-se identificar as prevalências e fatores associados à obesidade em trabalhadores do transporte coletivo urbano, com enfoque nos fatores ocupacionais. Método: Realizou-se uma revisão sistemática nas bases PubMed, Portal de Periódicos CAPES e LILACS, com artigos publicados entre 2000 e 2015, em inglês, espanhol e português, utilizando os descritores “condições de trabalho” e “obesidade” e a palavra-chave “motoristas de ônibus”. Como ponto de corte para a obesidade, considerou-se IMC≥30 kg/m2. Resultados: Dos 44 artigos, a maior parte foi conduzida na Ásia (40,9%), sendo que 31,82% foram realizados no Brasil. Em relação às prevalências da obesidade, encontraram-se valores entre 9,6% (mínimo) e 58,8% (máximo). Quanto aos fatores associados à obesidade, 9 (20,45%) se propuseram a identificá-los, sendo que, destes, 4 encontraram associação com variáveis ligadas ao trabalho, destacando: ser motorista (comparado com ser cobrador); maior tempo de serviço; maior número de horas ao volante por dia; difícil acesso a frutas e atividade física no ambiente de trabalho. Conclusão: Poucos estudos se propuseram a estudar os fatores associados à obesidade no grupo de trabalhadores escolhido e, principalmente, fatores ocupacionais. Assim, evidencia-se a necessidade de considerar este agravo na rotina dos rodoviários, levantando discussões e ações de incentivo à participação destes trabalhadores em atividades saudáveis, melhoria das condições e organização do trabalho, para que este seja um promotor de saúde nesta população.
