Introdução: O presente artigo realizou uma análise das dimensões da síndrome de burnout referentes ao modelo teórico escolhido sobre o fenômeno, a partir da realidade de jovens trabalhadores que realizam cursos de formação profissionalizantes na cidade de Recife/PE. Objetivo: O objetivo da pesquisa versa sobre analisar como se encontram configuradas as dimensões da síndrome de burnout discutidas pelo modelo teórico sobre as dimensões do burnout no contexto de jovens trabalhadores. Método: O estudo é caracterizado como exploratório e descritivo devido ao objetivo ser relacionado à descrição de características de uma população predeterminada. O estudo consiste em uma pesquisa de campo e se utiliza do método de análise do conteúdo para discutir os dados obtidos através de entrevistas que tiveram suas perguntas baseadas no questionário original e validado sobre o tema (Maslach Burnout Inventory). Resultados: Os resultados indicaram que a dimensão da realização profissional encontra-se comprometida em nível moderado, a dimensão da despersonalização não se encontra comprometida e a exaustão emocional é presente na rotina de trabalho dos jovens. Sendo assim, apesar de não encontrado o burnout propriamente dito, são notáveis os comportamentos de risco e de propensão à síndrome, que vivenciam os jovens. Conclusão: Os resultados podem indicar a necessidade de intervenção na empresa, com vistas a permitir maior enriquecimento das atividades desenvolvidas pelos jovens trabalhadores, assim como evitar o surgimento de situações que possam levar a sofrimento no trabalho.
