Intervenções realizadas com grupos de cuidadores de idosos com síndrome demencial: revisão sistemática/ Interventions conducted with groups of caregivers of elderly with dementia: a systematic review

Introdução: O Brasil apresenta um crescimento populacional vertiginoso em relação à faixa etária de pessoas com 60 anos ou mais. Nesse cenário, identifica-se a alta prevalência das doenças crônicas degenerativas, dentre elas a síndrome demencial, a qual requer cuidados. Objetivo: Identificar e analisar estudos que apresentem modelo, característica e resultado de intervenções não farmacológicas realizadas com cuidadores informais de idosos com síndrome demencial. Método: A seleção dos artigos foi realizada segundo a metodologia proposta pela Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions, nas bases de dados Pubmed, LILACS e SciELO, utilizando como descritores: cuidadores, idosos, intervenção e demência. Resultados: Foram identificados 1.069 estudos e, após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados 38 artigos, sendo que apenas 12 seguiram para a análise final. Em 58% (n = 07) dos artigos analisados, observaram-se estudos randomizados com grupo controle, e 42% (n = 05) foram estudos classificados como quase- experimentais. Além disso, identificou-se que 41,6% (n = 05) das intervenções eram classificadas pelo modelo psicoeducacional, 33,4% (n = 04) por ações da Terapia Cognitiva Comportamental, 16,6% (n = 02) como intervenções psicossociais e 8,4% (n = 01) por terapia mindfulness. Conclusão: Após a avaliação dos artigos, concluímos que a maioria dos estudos obteve resultados de forma significativa e contribuiu para redução de alguns aspectos, como nível de depressão, estresse, sobrecarga física e emocional, além de adquirirem habilidades e conhecimentos sobre a síndrome demencial. Assim, este estudo aponta para a importância da realização de novas pesquisas nesse cenário.
