TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL E O CONTEXTO FAMILIAR
Abstract
Considerando a problemática dos familiares a respeito das dificuldades de
compreender e vivenciar o cotidiano das pessoas acometidas por alguma doença/
deficiência, apontamos neste trabalho algumas reflexões sobre a clínica da Terapia
Ocupacional frente a essa realidade. Entendemos que independente da situação
demográfica, social ou econômica, as pessoas, na maioria das vezes, tendem a
se unir frente ao adoecimento e às incapacidades de um familiar buscando
alternativas para lidar, não somente com a doença propriamente dita, mas com
todo o restabelecimento de uma rotina que se impõe nesse contexto. O presente
trabalho tem como objetivo principal fazer uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a
intervenção terapêutica ocupacional junto a esses familiares/cuidadores.
Procuramos coletar estes dados nas fontes definidas nos livros, periódicos, teses
e artigos on-line, selecionados a partir do recorte periódico de 1990 a 2007. Como
resultado verificou-se que a intervenção terapêutica-ocupacional possibilita a
criação e a potencialização de relações, contextos e lugares que favorecem a
escuta e o acolhimento dos familiares. Nessa perspectiva, é preciso garantir que
a relação terapeuta-familiar seja construída, respeitando a realidade e os valores
da família, tendo esta como aliada ativa no processo de tratamento.
