PROBLEMAS E PERSPECTIVAS ESCOLARES E DE TRABALHO NO COTIDIANO DOS MENINOS E MENINAS TRABALHADORES DA UFSCar / PROBLEMS AND PERSPECTIVES PERTAINING TO SCHOOL AND WORK IN THE EVERYDAY OF THE UFSCAR’S BOYS AND GIRLS WORKERS
Abstract
Este texto é fruto de uma pesquisa que se debruçou sobre as condições de vida, os problemas e as perspectivas de estudo e de vida escolar, bem como de trabalho, de adolescentes de grupos populares, que trabalhavam na Universidade Federal de São Carlos (SP), por meio do convênio desta com uma instituição de assistência social e educacional. Foram utilizados diversos recursos para coletar informações acerca do universo escola/trabalho desses meninos e meninas.Dentre tais recursos, um questionário abordando temas como escola, trabalho, família, condição sócio-econômica e expectativas de futuro. Responderam a esse questionário 95.1% dos adolescentes. Posteriormente, foram sorteados 12
adolescentes para a realização de entrevistas e para a participação em encontros numa oficina de atividades. Trabalhou-se com dois subgrupos, garantindo-se a
proporcionalidade entre os gêneros. Nesse espaço, buscou-se apreender como aquele universo está inserido no cotidiano dos adolescentes, seu significado, o que pensam e sentem a respeito, além de proporcionar-lhes oportunidade de
reflexão e trocas. Foram realizadas, em cada grupo, 16 horas de oficina, divididas em três dias de encontro. À luz de conceitos como ‘políticas sociais’, ‘cidadania’ e ‘inserção social’, a análise dos resultados desta pesquisa aponta que a escola
e o trabalho não se constituem em lócus de pertencimento, de descoberta de vocações e de desenvolvimento de habilidades para esses adolescentes. Na medida em que não os percebem enquanto espaço de escuta, de diálogo e nem de construção coletiva ou grupal, esses meninos e meninas vivenciam um
sentimento de exclusão nos locais do seu cotidiano mais direto.
