Trabalho e qualidade de vida dos terapeutas ocupacionais: estudo de uma amostra brasileira / Work and quality of life of occupational therapists: study of a Brazilian sample
Abstract
O trabalho pode ser entendido como uma atividade que dá suporte para o resgate da espontaneidade e da expressão criativa, mas, ao mesmo tempo em que pode gerar satisfação, é também um locus de tensões. Outras dimensões, além do trabalho, são essenciais à qualidade de vida e entendidas como fontes de equilíbrio para o ser humano. A investigação aqui proposta teve por objetivo realizar um estudo exploratório sobre a percepção de 27 terapeutas ocupacionais, professores em universidades brasileiras, a respeito de suas atividades cotidianas. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio da aplicação e da análise de dois instrumentos: um questionário autoaplicável e uma vivência de atividades. Os resultados forneceram elementos que permitiram compreender melhor o cotidiano dos terapeutas ocupacionais da amostra estudada, bem como o significado da atividade profissional para eles. Os resultaram mostraram um perfil de indivíduos preocupados com a sua qualidade de vida, apontando estratégias de equilíbrio entre as atividades do trabalho e as atividades fora dele. A família é citada como suporte importante para a boa qualidade de vida dos participantes. Algumas diferenças marcantes apareceram nos ciclos de atividades realizadas durante a semana e aquelas nos finais de semana, sendo que as últimas parecem como que buscando preencher as necessidades desse equilíbrio.
