A diferença no cenário familiar, a inclusão escolar e a Terapia Ocupacional / The difference in the family background, school inclusion and Occupational Therapy
Abstract
Baseado em estudos e discussões realizados, o artigo aborda o estigma da deficiência, a família e oinvestimento na escolarização da criança. Estigma é um termo que foi considerado como uma referência à evidênciacorporal, mas é amplamente usado com o significado de mal-estar diante da diferença e da exclusão. Os conceitosde identidade e diferença são importantes na discussão sobre a deficiência, são interdependentes, inseparáveis,e é na relação eu-outro que se constitui a identidade. No cenário da educação, as fases de desenvolvimento daatenção às pessoas com deficiência são: exclusão, segregação institucional, integração e inclusão. O terapeutaocupacional é um profissional que em sua atuação assume grande compromisso com a inclusão escolar dacriança e, no futuro, com a sua inserção no mundo do trabalho. O suporte profissional, muitas vezes, facilita adesconstrução de conceitos e ideias relacionadas à impossibilidade de inclusão social da pessoa com deficiênciae tem importante papel no investimento familiar.http://dx.doi.org/10.4322/cto.2013.023
